I wanted to find out if my rapid feeds was working and updating. When we set up our rapidfeeds account, we put in our blogspot url. I went to the blogspot and added a new post. Then I went to my rapid feeds to see if it was up dating. I went to the mysite tab. At my blogspot feed, I clicked cache. When I clicked on the title of my blogspot, it gave a list of the posts (news!). It had updated it to include the one I had just created! That let me know that it was working. You can also do this in Google Reader but I was trying to figure out rapid feeds. It is finally coming together.
Do with rapidfeeds you put in other classmates blog url or other classmates rapidfeeds url? And what happened with that?
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Lynn. I'm a techie, and RSS feeds are a new experience for me (I've known of them forver, just never messed with them.) BTW...do you hate it when people spell your firs name with an "e" on the end? : - ) My first wife was named Lynne, and she hated it when people left the "e" off. Actually, she was pretty disagreeable in general. That's one of the reasons we're no longer married : - ) I'll stop rambling now.
ReplyDeleteLynn, can you tell me how to sign up for your RSS feed? Sharon
ReplyDeletemy rss feed is http://feeds.rapidfeeds.com/36558
ReplyDeleteBill, I don't really ever notice about my name. I grew up in a small town with my sister whose name is Liz. So half the time I was called Liz/Lynn so I learned not to be sensitive about my name. Also, having a green personality (True colors), I know there are stupid people in this world and you just have to overlook them and get on with your business. My orange (True Colors, again) personality kicks in and says, Who cares?
